Common questions
How do I set it up?
Install, choose how many points an order earns and what rewards cost, then turn on the “Rewards launcher” app embed from Home. Customers who sign in see their points, rewards and referral link straight away.
How do customers use their points?
In the rewards panel. Store credit lands on their account at once and is spent at checkout and at your POS like a gift card. Code rewards show a one-use code for that customer.
Can points be spent twice?
No. Every claim has its own key and is checked against the balance in one step, so a double click or two tabs give one reward.
What happens on a refund?
The refunded share of the order’s points comes back off the balance; a cancellation takes back the rest. If the points were already spent, the balance goes below zero and the next points pay it back.
How do VIP tiers work?
By amount spent, points earned or number of orders, over all time or the last 12 months. You can also put customers in a tier with a Shopify tag, and each tier can add its own tag so you can use it in Shopify discounts and segments.
Do you send emails?
No. Every event is a Shopify Flow trigger, and each customer has a loyalty metafield, so you send emails with Shopify Email, Flow or Klaviyo, in your brand.
How do referrals stay fair?
Points are given once the friend’s first order is paid, never for the referrer’s own orders, an order shipped to the referrer’s address, a returning customer, or past your monthly limit. Returned orders take the points back.
What does Free include?
Everything, for 100 paid orders a month. Past that, orders are recorded with the points they would have earned; upgrade during the month and they’re credited.
Does it slow my store down?
No. The panel is drawn by your theme from Shopify’s own data; our server is only called when a customer claims a reward, makes their referral link or saves their birthday.
